Pallet #9^Box #90003^5 Newsreel Stories^1)Opening Montage of Navy men marching, Aircraft Carriers and Planes taking off from ships.^^"In The Pacific"^1) US Navy destroyers are shown patrolling the international waters near North Vietnam.^2) The Commander of the fleet conducts an interview in which he talks about being attacked by Vietnamese ships. After retaliation and the attack is over the ship is shown once again patroling the waters.^3) President Johnson is shown briefly at the White House, and then on a tour of one of the ships.^4) Planes are prepared for take off and then are seen patrolling the water ways.^^"Adm. Claude V. Rickett"^1) The body of the Navies 2nd highest ranking officer is shown at the Admirals funeral held at Arlington Cemetary.^2) There is a close - up of the casket being carried on a carriage.^3) Afterwards, there is a ceremony in which the USS Biddle has the ships name officially changed to the USS Claude V. Rickett.^"Names In The News"^1) A Navy officer is shown returning back to the states after being shot down on a reconnaissance flight over Laos.^2) The officer is shown being reunited with his wife.^3) Two officers that are married are shown being reenlisted back into the Navy for an additional 6 year term.^^"Under The Sea"^1) In the submarine "Sealab 1" the Navy conducts an experiment 192 feet below sea level in which 4 men try to live under water for 10 days off of the coast of Bermuda.^2) In order to receive supplies divers are shown bringing them down to the men on board the sub.^3) Sharks and fish are shown swimming by the sub.^4) After bringing down supplies to Sealab a diver is shown swimming up to the offshore observation center, another diver then goes down to bring more supplies to the sub.^5) While some of the men rest, the on board doctor conducts experiments on carbon dioxide.^6) One of the men on the sub communicates by radio with the observation tower, because of the presence of helium the man sounds funny.^7) Other men wearing scuba equipment leave the sub to collect underwater specimens, there is then a close - up of the stuff that was found.^8) Another diver is shown feeding one of the fish.^^"Nuclear Task Force"^1) Three all nuclear powered ships are shown as they attempt to go around the world.^2) Political Dignitaries are shown touring one of the ships, they then get to watch planes take off from the ship.^3) Planes fly in formation as African Dignitaries watch them.^4) Missiles and rockets are then fired from the planes.^5) The Commander of the ship is shown visiting with the Dignitaries.^6) During the world tour the men occasionally get to visit exotic ports and they are shown at a free market place in Pakistan and waching a snake charmer.^7) While on land some of the men are shown horse back riding.^8) The ships ultimately return to the United States and their wives and children.
