One Flew Over the Cuckoo�s Nest

Ben Tucker, American Cinematheque and Paul Thomas Anderson projectionist, reports:^^Print has minor fading. Most of its color is still there. It's Fuji acetate stock. I couldn't identify any date, but would guess it to be either an original release print or an early reproduction. ^^It has sections with lot of it has those little, tiny reddish dots - like measles. Sections are dirty and oily. It could use an ultrasonic cleaning. I recall that it must've been plattered often by the way the heads and tails look.^^It has significant repairs that have all been well done. I wouldn't be surprised at all if someone in UCLA's past has spent a few hours doing repair work on it. I didn't have to re-make any splices, etc.^^Despite all of this, I would not hesitate to program it - if it's all that is available. The best part about it being that the color is mostly good and it's complete. It certainly has wear. But no distinct and significant scratches that are overly distracting. -- 6/22/2023 - SKH
