Pallet 43: �Cute couple elopes in VW squareback (station wagon) -- Doyle Dane Bernbach commercial^^Scenario: Long, overhead shot of VW squareback (station wagon) parked in front of house. It's night, and a guy in a white jacket's loading the back of the car. There's a ladder leading up to a second floor window. Suitcases and a guitar are on ground next to ladder. Dissolve to c.u. of guitar going into back of car. Medium shot, from ground looking up: girl in white coat and feather boa desends ladder with portable TV, hands TV and boa to boyfriend.^^Narrator: For the young couple just starting out in live, Volkswagan introduces the square back sedan. It costs about $1,000 less than other station wagons (shots of girl bringing down many items: 60's lamp, skis, motorcycle helmet, giant teddy bear) and gets 27 miles per gallon. ^^Final shot: Girl puts suitcase into trunk, boyfriend quietly closes door. Overhead long shot: Car exits frame, with house, ladder, second floor light left on in shot.
