But the Volkswagen^stays the same, and keeps changing. -- Doyle Dane Bernbach commercial in^line-drawn cartoon form^^Script: Cars sure keep changing: Longer & shorter, and longer again. You remember fins, don't you?... One-toned cars were out... What about ^headlights? Are 2 enough? 4? 6? 8? And then there's the Volkswagen, ^homely as ever. But everything in it keeps changing: brakes, engine... ^^Tag: Some cars just keep changing and staying the same. But the Volkswagen stays the same, and keep changing.^^Visual: Excellent cartoon. Begins with simple white background, cartoony ^sports car drives into view. Transforms (w/narration) to become boxier^sedan, then a compact, then a full-sized sedan with fins, huge bumpers, ^etc--a pseudo-batmobile with fins 6 ft. & 12 ft. high. Cartoon goes to ^color (w/narration about one, two-toned cars).
